Known mostly for its wild nightlife, the resort town of Magaluf is a popular holiday destination for young singles and couples looking to have fun at the beach.

Located on the Spanish island of Majorca, Magaluf has come under scrutiny in recent years for just how wild its party scene is. Many resorts and hotels have been attempting to turn that around by refurbishing their establishments. With that said, there are still good reasons to visit Magaluf.

Sol Guadalupe has recently been completely refurbished, and boasts modern and clean decor, comfortable rooms, and a lovely pool. While not located directly on the beach, it is within a short walk to the shoreline. It is far enough away from the strip to enjoy a peaceful rest, but still close enough to get out and have a fun night.

Hotel HSM Atlantic Park is an all-inclusive resort that offers all of the convenience to the Magaluf strip while still being far enough away to have a relaxing holiday. The beach is a short walk away, and there is a beautiful pool area on the grounds.

Sol Trinidad is located near all of the hot nightspots, with clean and comfortable accommodations, three swimming pools, a bar, restaurant, and beach access. This hotel is definitely aimed at the young and single crowd, and probably not the best place to stay with kids. The party atmosphere begins as the sun goes down, and continues well into the late night.

Most of the dining options you will find in Magaluf cater to the large British crowd.

Cafes mostly serve up British cuisine, with the occasional inclusion of a paella dish here and there.Tom Brown’s features a large menu of home-cooked English food at very reasonable prices. Ocean views and great service are a plus.

Pirates Beach Bar and Grill is located right on the beach, and features a lively atmosphere, live music, and excellent ribs.

Pardos serves up fresh seafood, cooked to order. The portions are generous, and the service is great. Try the 15 euros menu, which includes an appetizer, main course, dessert, and a drink.

Magaluf is a party town, and the strip is the place to go for live entertainment, bars, and dance clubs. The beach is beautiful, and should definitely be enjoyed while visiting.

The Pirates Adventure Show is famous throughout the island, and should not be missed. It’s dinner theatre, including acrobats, gymnastics, dancing, and fire breathing, all set to a a pirate-themed story. Dinner and free sangria is included. The late night shows might not be appropriate for children.

Magaluf is absolutely filled to capacity in the summer months, particularly June and July.

It is also popular to visit in August and September, and there will be a little bit more breathing room.
